Vanderhoof, Fort St. James (SD91) & Exchange Programs
I moved to British Columbia, Canada from the United States in 2006. When I moved to Golden in 2012, my family joined RMISP as a host family, and we've hosted nearly twenty students over the years - both in Golden and our current hometown of Cranbrook. We've loved meeting young people from all over the world and learning about other cultures. We've found it's also a great way to learn more about our own community and the awesome attractions around us.
After hosting for a few years, I took on the Homestay Coordinator role in Golden, then in Cranbrook. Now I'm very happy to be overseeing our new program in School District 91, as well as exchange programs for our Canadian students. When I'm not working (and sometimes even when I am), you'll likely find me behind a camera or enjoying the great outdoors.
