The Rocky Mountain International Student Program sponsors a wide variety of activities, events and trips for participating students. September Welcome Activity

Rafting on the Elk River in Fernie, BC

River rafting, scenic float, canoeing or other waterfront activity (weather permitting)

October City Sightseeing Trip*

Overnight trip to Calgary with stops in Banff and Lake Louise

November Curling Activity

MBSS students learn one of Canada's favourite winter sports

Learn to curl at the local rink - instruction, gear and snacks provided

December Ski & Snowboard Day*

Group lessons are provided for all levels

Hit the slopes for a day of skiing or snowboarding - includes lesson, rental and lift ticket

January Winter Sport Activity

Cross-country lessons in Kimberley, BC

Cross-country skiing, fat biking, snowshoeing or other local activity

February Ski & Snowboard Day

Beginner lesson at Fernie Alpine Resort

Another ski/snowboard day at a nearby resort - includes lesson, rental and lift ticket

March Overnight Winter Camp

Revelstoke students build quinzee shelters

Two days of winter fun - ice fishing, pond hockey, snowshoeing, shelter building, campfires and more! 

April Canadian Heritage Trip

World Heritage Site in Fort MacLeod, Alberta

Overnight trip to national park, historic site and city sightseeing

May Hike & Hot Springs

Hiking near hoodoos south of Invermere, BC

A short scenic hike followed by a swim at nearby hot springs

June Farewell Events

End-of-year celebrations are organized in every community
